About Us
Our Story
My name is Meimei Wang, founder of InfinitX Academy. I hold a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Edinburgh in the UK, as well as two bachelor’s degrees, one in Mathematics and one in Finance. I have been tutoring maths in New Zealand since 2018, working with hundreds of students across all year levels. Now based in Hamilton, I continue to support local families and help students build confidence in their learning.
Through years of teaching, I’ve learned that success in mathematics isn’t about natural talent, it’s about understanding. When concepts are explained clearly and students are given the right strategies, they begin to enjoy maths and see themselves differently. That belief led me to establish InfinitX Academy, a place where students can learn at their own pace, ask questions without fear, and experience the satisfaction that comes from genuine progress.
At InfinitX Academy, we don’t just teach maths. We help students develop confidence, strengthen their foundations and discover what they are capable of. We welcome you to connect with us and see how we can support your child’s journey in mathematics.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create a learning environment where every student can succeed in mathematics, no matter where they start. We believe that maths should be a subject that builds confidence, opens doors and supports future choices. To achieve this, we are committed to:
• Support students who struggle with maths by rebuilding their confidence and helping them make steady, achievable progress.
• Challenge and extend capable learners by offering deeper thinking, advanced concepts and opportunities beyond their current level.
• Teach students to understand maths, not memorise it, so they can apply logical thinking and problem-solving skills in any context.
• Make mathematics a subject students enjoy and feel confident mastering, regardless of where they begin.
